Mumbai: Kalel Productions’ BBC Three factual entertainment presentation ‘Stupid Man, Smartphone’ Singapore has been awarded as the Best Influencer Content Series at the 24th Asian TV Awards.
Featuring well-known Singaporean social media influencer, actor and comedian Hirzi Zulkiflie as Stupid Man, the series captures the hilarious journey of a city-dwelling comic trying to survive some of Asia’s toughest terrains with just the help of his smartphone. The series was shot in Malaysia and Indonesia and is produced by BBC Studios India for Channel 5, Mediacorp Singapore.
Asian TV Awards is the Asian TV industry’s most significant and celebrated event, recognising excellence in programming, production and performance. Determined by an expert panel of over 60 judges from across the region, the results are tabulated and audited by international auditing firm PricewaterhouseCoopers, with the winners only announced during the Awards.
