India dominated the Asian Academy Creative Awards (AAA) Gala Final in Singapore, picking up a string of awards, including best drama for Netflix’s Delhi Crime.
India snapped up a total of six awards over the two nights of the AAAs. In addition to best drama, it won the best feature film category for Gully Boy and best director for Delhi Crime‘s Richie Mehta.
The performance categories included Oka Antara from Brata taking best actor in a leading role and Shefali Shah from Delhi Crime picking up the lead actress award. Supporting role awards went to Jamie Aditya for Grisse and PyaePyae for Myanmar’s The Only Mom.
Best comedy program was presented to Malaysia’s Keluarga Baha Don. Shih Yuan Lu—The World Between Us by PTS Taiwan picked up best original screenplay. China’s Story of Yanxi Palace was named best soap opera/telenovela.
Best adaptation of an existing format was given to CJ ENM’s Designated Survivor: 60 Days. Hunan TV’s World’s Got Talent was named best non-scripted entertainment. Malaysia’s CNY Countdown Gala 2019 won best general entertainment, game or quiz program. Best infotainment went to Why it Matters from Singapore, while best lifestyle was given to CNN’s Destination Tohoku. CJ’s 300: War of United Voices won the best music or dance program category.
