Mumbai: Star Plus’ daily ‘Yehh Jaadu Hai Jinn Ka’ has been reaching new heights of popularity since its launch in October 2019.
The show has garnered a dedicated fan following and the viewers have loved the narrative and characters depicted in this tale which is why Yehh Jaadu Hai Jinn Ka has topped the TRP charts across all shows in the Hindi GEC segment. As per BARC, in the Hindi GEC Urban category for week 48 Star Plus’s “Yehh Jaadu Hai Jinn Ka” led the Top 5 programs category with 68mn impressions, followed by “Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai” with 66mn impressions. The 3rd spot is secured by Zee Tv’s “Kundali Bhagya” with 66mn impressions. For the last two spots, Sony Sab’s “Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah” with 64mn impressions and Colors’ show “Chhoti Sardarni” on 61mn impressions.
The show has also seen a slight increase in the TRP ratings on a week-on-week basis. In week 47 Yehh Jaadu Hai Jinn Ka garnered 2.5 TVRs and in week 48 got 2.7 TVRs. This also in a way has contributed to Star Plus’ channel performance on the GEC list of Urban GEC markets by maintaining the second position after Colors topping the charts.
It indeed is commendable to see that Yehh Jaadu Hai Jinn Ka in a short span of 2 months has seen an immense amount of growth. The story seems to have made a connection with the audiences that too in a refreshing way. The show features Vikram Singh Chauhan and Aditi Sharma in the lead roles, the show revolves around a Jinni and the repercussions of his wishes that a family and especially a young man faces. It’s also a love story between a Nawab who is under the Jinn’s black shadow and a prostitute’s daughter who is blessed with angelic qualities.
Other shows on STAR Plus that have been constant with their performance are Kulfi Kumaar Bajewaala which maintained a TVR of 0.8 in weeks 47 and 48. Similarly, Sanjeevani too has maintained a TVR of 0.9 in weeks 47 and 48. Kasauti Zindagi Ki with 1.9 TVRs in week 47 and 48. All these shows are contributing to the channels’ growth and are the reasons why Star Plus is one of the top-performing GECs across HSMs Urban and Rural.
