InterGlobe – Best in Show: Corporate Communications
InterGlobe, the business conglomerate behind one of India’s best known airlines, IndiGo, wanted to revamp their website www.interglobe.com, to showcase their scale and variety of businesses. The customer experience team at VMLY&R India, embedded itself in the psyche and ethos of the brand and its people. The agency drew up consumer journeys of different stakeholders, to ensure they could search the information for any of the businesses effortlessly.
InterGlobe was Powered by Connections, which was showcased on the website. At the end of it, this was not just a simple website revamp, it became an exercise in business storytelling – one that showcased InterGlobe in all the glory that it should be represented in.
Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts – Gold: General Website Categories-Hotel and Lodging; Silver: Visual Appeal – Website Features (Experience)
The largest hospitality chain (https://www.cinnamonhotels.com/) in Sri Lanka had a problem. They were losing business to competition which came in the form of other major hotel chains & OTAs who had more spending power.
VMLY&R India decided to solve this by amplifying what Cinnamon did better than anyone – knowing Sri Lanka. They practically setup the tourism industry in the island and this proud heritage came with unmatched authority.
The agency took Cinnamon through a CX journey that impacted touchpoints like the website, booking engine and content creation. Design thinking workshops led to a proposition that would cascade across digital touchpoints & make Cinnamon enter the decision making journey much sooner – when the user was thinking of a place to visit & not at the end when they were making a hotel decision.
Saurabh Mathur, Head of Strategy and Planning, India, added “Our approach to user experience is not just about great design but about identifying the secret sauce that makes brands tick. With Interglobe and Cinnamon, we had two brands that had beautiful stories to tell. To see our efforts rewarded is a validation of our robust methodology, talented team & alternative thinking when it comes to experience design.”
