Aviation giant Singapore Airlines has appointed Siva Govindasamy as Vice President of Public Affairs, in place of Nicholas Ionides who will be leaving to join Marina Bay Sands as head of communications in October.
Ionides is assscoaited with Singapore Airlines for over a decade.
Govindasamy will be moving from Airbus where he has been the senior communications manager for Asia-Pacific for nearly three years. He was previously a journalist having worked for SPH and aviation specialty publication Flight Global. His last role as a journalist was as chief aerospace and defence correspondent for Asia at Reuters.
Govindasamy said: “I am excited about taking on this new role at SIA, which comes after several great years at Airbus.”
