The classic hit Baywatch underwent re-masteringand Fremantle has sold the refreshing version ofit into more than 110 territories worldwide.
Multiple deals involving the show has been signed between various digital and broadcast platform owners across the world. Amazon Prime Video licensed the HD-remastered drama for the U.S., Australia, Canada, the U.K. and Ireland, while Hulu also has U.S. streaming rights.
Further deals include Bell Media (Canada), Viacom (Italy), RTL (German-speaking Europe), NBCUniversal (German-speaking Europe), Rewind Networks (pan-regional Asia) and Viacom 18 (Indian sub-continent).
Baywatch has also been picked up by COSMOTE TV (Greece), Vodafone (Greece), TV2 (Norway), TV2 (Denmark), Sony (Russia), Telma TV (Macedonia), RSI (French-speaking Switzerland), AZTV (German-speaking Switzerland), FOXLIFE (Turkey) StarTimes (Africa), SBS (Belgium), RTL (Croatia), CyBC (Cyprus), AMB Baltics (Latvia and Lithuania), OriMedia (Iraq) and RTL (Netherlands).
Baywatch, which follows a group of elite lifeguards on pristine beaches in Southern California, first aired in 1989.
Fremantle remastered the classic series into high-definition, 16:9 cinematic widescreen in 2018. The version also features over 350 new songs created to score the iconic Baywatch montages.
