Mumbai: Dentsu Aegis Network’s Performance Group CEO, Vivek Bhargava, will walk the sub-zero terrain of the Arctic and do the polar plunge to highlight the effects of climate change, this month.
Bhargava, along with many others from across the globe, will be part of the ClimateForce: Arctic (CFA). Here, CFA will, once again, reunite with The Explorer’s Passage, a pioneer in adventure travel, and renew focus on the strategic hotspot of climate change – the Arctic. The program, starting June 15, will enable the participants to become a vast movement of change leaders from across the globe. The expedition will include about 100 people from over 40 countries.
Talking about the program, Vivek Bhargava, CEO – Performance Group, Dentsu Aegis Network said, “Learning new things and gaining new experiences has always driven me. And CFA is a great way to meet like-minded, adventure-seeking people. Having said that, I do believe that climate change is something which everyone needs to be aware of. I am one of the few people in the expedition who has been given an opportunity to give a talk on the role of digital in climate change. I look forward to this opportunity.”
He added, “We all want to leave a better world for our children and hence, I did not want to leave this opportunity to do my bit for the planet. Dentsu Aegis Network too aims to lead the advertising industry through its work on climate change.” In its bid for climate change, Dentsu Aegis Network is transitioning towards a low carbon business with a goal to use 100% renewable energy by 2020.
