Reghunandan and Rajalakshmi were in deep love years back. But Rajalakshmi is forced to accept Prathap sankar as her husband, who is from an affluent family. Reghunandan marries Lalitha.
Reghunandan and Rajalakshmi meet again, after a long gap of 25 years, as per Reghunandan’s request .He states that, he is adooming cancer patient and that ,after his death , Rajalakshmi should take care of his daughter Pournami. Rajalakshmi decides to carry out Reghu’s last wish.
Rajalakshmi has to face several challenges from her relatives ,as she bring shome Pournami .It is Pratap sankar ,who supports her in all aspects .But the situation becomes more crucial, when Rajalakshmi decides together son, Premjith married to Pournami. From then on ,Swetha ,the first cousin of Prem, and her mother Vasantha mallika, become strong opponents of Rajalakshmi and family.
As a part of their revenge, pratap sankar also stands against Rajalakshmi. Thus rajalakshmi and pournami totally becomes isolated. pournami’s life becomes more grief-sticken as her husband prem also falls in their cunning trap. At a stage, even Rajalakshmi also has to go against Pournami. She has to confront a lonely fight to establish her innocence and strong affection towards her husband. It is a story of fight for existence of an innocent girl, which is being unveiled through Pournamithingal
