New Delhi: As the famous saying goes, ‘talking and discussing help find solutions’. Working on the same idea a young team of media professionals have launched – founderINDIA – India’s first Talk TV Channel.
founderINDIA that started as a humble digital magazine covering policy matters and business stories, grew up to become a one-of-its-kind TV channel within a short span of time. The channel offers a unique platform to discuss all genres, industries, issues, and themes, especially the sectors that find little mention on traditional media platforms.
The channel will be available on various OTT platforms; Amazon fireTV happens to be the first one. There is an interesting line-up of talk series being streamed as the inaugural bundle. Beyond The Lines with Shilpi Shukla is one such ‘in-conversation’ series with India’s bestselling authors. Ex-journalist and avid book reader Shilpi is hosting the show.
India’s first TV show on cryptocurrency and blockchain – Hard Fork also goes live with the channel. The show is being hosted by Shantanu Sharma, an expert of blockchain and cryptocurrency. Super Starters Inc – a short series based on a competition, organised by the Fortis Healthcare group, to find India’s best healthcare startup ideas is also being aired on the channel.
Talking about the channel, founderINDIA editor Alex said, “All our shows are being hosted by people who are an authority on their respective subject. Hence, they wouldn’t be just throwing silly questions but ensure an insightful conversation. We intend to conclude every episode with fruitful takeaways and not have prominent personalities for namesake only.”
The channel is also planning a special show with veteran journalist Madhavan Narayanan.
“We are starting with a one-to-one talk format and will soon add discussion panels, public, remote and digital participation. The channel aims to do unprecedented experiments and bring about a much-needed revolution in the history of TV channels in India,” added Alex.
The Gurugram-based channel has rapid expansion plans and is hiring the best of media talent. Bootstrapped as of now, the startup is already discussing funding with various investors and will enter its next stage of expansion that includes channel launches in various regional languages. A podcast channel is also in the pipeline.
