Mumbai: The sequel to the 2010 blockbuster superhero movie features Rajinikanth in a double role as Dr. Vaseegaran and his trusted robot Chitti and Akshay Kumar as a mutant ornithologist Pakshi Rajan. Zee Cinema, with its new philosophy Seene Mein Cinema addresses and highlights the aspect of regular life being inspired by cinema with the World Television Premiere of the costliest film ever made in India – 2.0 on 21st April at 12 noon.
Speaking about the role, Akshay Kumar said, “2.0 is a mega movie and the first in my career. While I try to explore different roles, I genuinely felt that this would be a completely different ball game. It rightly proved to be so. In all my years of being a part of the industry, I have never seen so much money, talent and technology work together from different parts of the globe to make a film of this magnitude.”
The channels newly adopted philosophy ‘Seene Mein Cinema’ will reflect in the 360-degree marketing plan that will engage the audience across various mediums – Television, Print, Outdoor, Digital and Radio. The 20 foot gigantic face-off installation of Chitti and Pakshi at Juhu Beach, Mumbai will not only garner eyeballs but also be the talk of the city.
