Chennai : Colors Tamil’s popular dance reality show, Dance vs Dance, came to a sensational end here on Sunday, with a beautiful pair from Bengaluru winning the title and taking home a glittering trophy and a whopping cash prize of Rs 10 lakhs.
Ankita and Pooja, who won the hearts of all the judges and millions of fans for their graceful and powerful performances, swept the floor in the grand finale with their belly dancing routine.
The dynamic duo of Kalai-Rockson, from Chennai, won the runners-up title and the Rs 5 lakh cash prize.
Tamil Nadu’s hit dance show witnessed some breath-taking and spectacular performances, leaving a tough task for special judge Amala Paul, judges Brinda Master, Nakkhul and hosts Kiki and Vijay. All of them enthralled the audiences with their wit and moves while also crowning the champions
Ankita and Pooja, trained and guided by choreographer Vaishnavi, impressed at every step, even wooing the audience with their creativity and verve. Breaking the stigma, the power couple underlined their grit and courage too with their strong performance.
With an equally gripping performance, the runner-up duo Kalai and Rockson thrilled the audience with their versatility and energy. Following them, the cutest contestants of the show, Tanisha and Gurunath, won their moment too, emerging as the second runner of the season.
Commenting on winning the grand title, Pooja and Ankita said, “We are thrilled and excited to be crowned as the winners of Dance Vs. Dance on COLORS Tamil. This platform and journey has been a great learning experience for us as we got a chance to share the stage with the greatest dancers from K-Town, especially our judge, Brinda Master. Dance vs Dance stood out for its energetic judges, who with their meticulous observations and judgment groomed the dancers at various stages. Speaking about the journey and the winners for the night, nationally acclaimed choreographer Ms. Brinda said, “It was a difficult and challenging task as a choreographer and judge to declare the winners as we had many talented pairs on the show. All the dancers are world class performers, but the one pair that transcended limitation with ease and grace is Ankita-Pooja. Their unique style and strength to compete against all odds was commendable.”

The show which started off with 14 couples, boiled down to the best four in the final round. The grand stage, splendid properties, exceptional selection of songs, passionate contestants, befitting judges and enthusiastic hosts contributed to the success of this unique dance-off show.
