Mumbai: Hungama, India’s leading digital entertainment company, today announced that it now powers Pleng, a music streaming platform in Cambodia.
Owned by the leading Cambodian telecom operator, Smart Axiata, the platform is spearheading the music revolution in Cambodia and will now operate with the technical and content support provided by Hungama – making it the first Indian digital entertainment company to power a streaming app in South East Asia.
Hungama will enable the users of Pleng to access 1,000,000+ songs in Khmer – the local language of Cambodia and English, created by more than 100,000 Khmer and international artistes in multiple genres.

Besides songs and thematic playlists, the Pleng app offers an assortment of features including Discovery – music to match the listener’s mood, on-demand radio channels, the ability to follow artiste profiles and stay updated with their content and the option to opt for a Pro subscription. It also features a unique gamification model that allows users to earn points on the app and redeem these for a premium subscription.
