Mumbai: Bollywood celebrity Mallika Sherawat will inaugurate the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Pavilion at Cannes this year. She will be a part of the inaugural session ‘Indian Cinema: Opportunities & Synergies with Global Cinema’.
Mallika will participate in the session as a speaker along with Arun Kumar Singh, Indian Ambassador to France and Ashok Amritraj, Hollywood producer and chairman, CII Cannes Initiative. The session will also see the participation of Resul Pookutty, Oscar winning Sound Designer, Jerome Paillard, Executive Director, Marche Du Film, Aditi Das Rout, Director General, Services Export Promotion Council (SEPC) and Sudhir Mishra, film maker.
Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) for the twelfth consecutive year, will co-ordinate the participation of producers, film makers and States of India at the Cannes Film Market from 14 – 23 May 2014. Indian state governments, film makers and services experts will be part of the booth space and CII’s aim is to get maximum business for the Indian Media and Entertainment industry by facilitating global opportunities.
This will be Mallika Sherawat’s 5th year at the Cannes film festival. She will soon be seen in CBS hit series Hawaii Five-O.
