Mumbai: A large community of women from different walks of life came together to celebrate the spirit of health and well-being through the Spirit of Pinkathon in association with Sunfeast Farmlite. Fighting against the odds stacked against them, the women took the baton of their health in control by making right lifestyle choices. 30 participants between the age group of 30 to 70 undertook the distance of 180 km across 3 days. Sunfeast Farmlite believes that the first step for a better living is to take control of one’s lifestyle and make healthier choices. Sunfeast Farmlite and the Spirit of Pinkathon built this platform for encouraging women to take up health challenges and lead an healthier lifestyle.

She remains ageless and has inspired many people to lead an active lifestyle. Joyce Gomes, a mother of 2 and a trainer for the Pinkathon Silvassa group is yet another inspiring achiever who participated in the Spirit of Pinkathon. She has been a role model for thousands of women in the town of Silvassa and has motived them to leap beyond their limits. Joyce ran a distance of 150 km from Silvassa to Mumbai. Her efforts translated into success when she received an honorary Believe Hero award.
Commenting on the association, Paritosh Wali, Chief Operating Officer, Biscuits & Confections Cluster, Foods Division, ITC Limited, “Through this collaboration, the brand aims to promote the need for a healthier lifestyle and empower women to reach for the stars. Lifestyle concerns and its consequential effects prevail widely. It is essential for everyone in the country to adopt a healthier lifestyle to tackle the rising health challenges. As healthy snacking partners of Pinkathon and proud sponsors of Spirit of Pinkathon, we would like to inspire women to adopt healthier choices and be the torch bearers of a healthier lifestyle.”
Indian supermodel, actor & fitness promoter, Milind Soman talks about his health mantra, “Mother takes care of her child, her family and givers her 100 per cent to them. It is thus essential for her to make the right choice and take good care of herself too. A positive mindset is an essential aspect while making the right choices for oneself and the family. This ability to make the right choice is very important; however there is always a gap between intent and action. We need to make an effort to bridge that gap for a healthier family and future.”
Marathon participant, Daksha Kanavia, 68 year old retired bank manager also states that “Age is your mind game. If you have faith in yourself, you can achieve anything. Everyone should run for their fitness and if I can participate and enjoy the run, everyone can. Running is one of the best forms of exercise. I would like to thank the Spirit of Pinkathon and Sunfeast Farmlite to believe in my ability and encourage me to run for the marathon.”
