Mumbai: The Essel Group and Zee Learn had called for entries to participate in Aesthetics Youth conclave 2019 for Animation, VFX and Film Making conclave of professionals, students and corporates in the animation, VFX, AI, Film Making and related fields.
This Conclave will offer students and budding professionals an opportunity to interact with industry experts from the fields of 3D Animation, VFX, Graphic Design and Gaming and understand from them latest trends and technologies in the space. It will also provide an opportunity for them to showcase their skills in short film making in different categories and win awards.
The event is scheduled in Mumbai from 10th to 12th January 2019. Participants will need to pay Rs 10,000 to attend that includes 3-day accommodation on shared basis, food etc.
Live Action Entries for the Short Film competition should be a maximum duration of 20 minutes while 2D Animation, 3D Animation, Stop-motion, VFX entries can be of maximum 10-minute duration.
A jury consisting of eminent experts will evaluate the films on parameters like Story, Screenplay, communication design, look and feel, and the technical execution before choosing the winners who have a chance to take home a cash prize of up to Rs. One Lakh.
Participants will have to create a short film which will be evaluated on Story, Screenplay, communication design, look and feel, and the technical execution. Following are the film submission details:
- Categories: Live Action, 2D Animation, 3D Animation, VFX, Stop Motion
- Video output: .mov (H264 compression) only
- Frame size: Minimum 720 x 480
- Do not use images / Videos / Sound / logo / trademark for which you don’t have rights to use or the copyright
- Minimum 5 High Resolution (1440X1024 dpi) best stills of the film
- Submission date: Dec 26, 2018
Industry speakers such as Tarun Katial, CEO of ZEE5 & Sidharth Balakrishna, Head – Group Strategy & Innovation, Essel (Zee) Group, and experts from Nazara (India’s largest Gaming Company), Twitter, Gist (A Major AI Company) and Boston Consulting Group (BCG), Accenture, Adobe, etc are likely to be part of the event.
