Mumbai : The new series of ‘MasterChef India’ is expected to replace the long-running show ”Ek veer ki Ardass – Veera” in January 2015.
According to sources close to Star Plus, the fourth series of ‘MasterChef India’ will take the weekday 10:30 PM slot from Monday 26th January.
‘MasterChef India’ is a show that celebrates people who make good food. It is a one-of-its-kind culinary competition series, based on the smash hit from the UK and Australia, of the same name. It is produced by Colosceum Media Pvt. Ltd.
So far ‘MasterChef India’ had completed three seasons on Star Plus with the previous season being aired during Mid March 2013 in which Ripudaman Handa won Season 3 of MasterChef India.
The show ‘Veera’ was launched in October 2012 and it has been running successfully since then and performing moderately in the ratings now also. However the channel has been overhauling its output to give it a younger feel. During the week 49 ‘Veera’ has averaged 2.1 TVR. while the recently launched Everest delivered 1.6 TVR
‘Veera’ is expected to breathe its last on Saturday 24th January, with ‘MasterChef India’ taking the vacant slot from the following Monday.
The channel is yet to officially announce the change.
