Mumbai: Thrive Global India, a platform dedicated to ending India’s stress and burnout epidemic, has launched its media platform, in partnership with Times Bridge. Thrive’s website thriveglobal.in and its social media channels will present stories—including videos and podcasts—and science-based solutions to inspire and engage India’s new digital audience. It will pioneer the conversation few are having in India: The importance of well-being and productivity in leading meaningful lives.
Thrive Global, the technology-based media, and corporate services company helping individuals, companies and communities improve their well-being and performance, was founded by Arianna Huffington in November 2016. Like Thrive Global, Thrive Global India will feature original content, the latest science, expert commentary and community contributions.
Thrive Global India’s missionis on reflection and on creating real, tangible behaviour change where users can see recommended microsteps—small changes in behaviour that, over time and taken together, can deliver dramatic results.
In the first couple of weeks post-launch, Thrive will feature role models such as actor Sonam Kapoor, chess champion Viswanathan Anand, mythologist Devdutt Pattanaik, educationist Neerja Birla among others. With the help of true stories and contributions from role models such as business leaders, athletes, politicians, entertainers and renowned scientists and researchers, Thrive Global India wants to challenge notions that lack of sleep, stress, burnout, and a compromised mental or physical health is the price we must pay for success. At the core of the media platform are the teachings and wisdom of ancient India and how these are increasingly relevant in our model lives. Role models, too, will share the importance of ancient Indian wisdom in their lives along with their personal experiences on how they focus, deal with stress, prioritise well-being and stay physically and mentally fit.
“I believe that, more than any other place in the world, India has the answers to what I see as the biggest question of our time: how we work and live in an age when change is exponentially faster and technology has permeated every aspect of our lives, said Arianna Huffington, Founder and CEO of Thrive Global. “It is my hope that India can take the lead in answering this question, not only for Indians but for everyone around the globe.”
Rishi Jaitly, CEO of Times Bridge, said, “In today’s time, personal well-being holds a crucial place. The introduction of Thrive Global India’s media platform will stimulate a conversation around well-being in India, rejecting the myth that burnout is the price we must pay for success. With conversation around physical, mental, emotional self & improve both well-being and performance, this platform is one of its kind.”
