Mumbai: Storytel, the leading audiobook streaming company that has recently started operations in India, announced Hunt for fresh voice to narrate their series and they have declared a contest via their social media page.
The talent search is open to languages in Hindi, English and Marathi. To participate, one has to register at Storytel and record a certain part of their favourite book and share it with Storytel. The shortlisted candidates will be subject to a facebook poll and the one with highest votes shall be declared as the winner.Giving way to new career choices, the winner will be awarded a contract with Storytel worth Rs 25,000.
Speaking about the contest, YogeshDashrath, Country Manager India at Storytel said, “Storytel is extremely excited to have initiated a national hunt for a fresh voice. India has a rich pool of talent and unfortunately very few opportunities for them to rise. We, at Storytel are cognisant of this and we take pride in supporting new talent. Voice artists in India don’t have a recognised platform and Storytel aims at changing that.”
Storytel India hosts titles in English, Hindi and Marathi for every age group across a diverse set of genres such as romance, thriller, spirituality, horror, drama, adventure, etc. The launch catalogue of Storytel India currently has more than 60,000 audio titles with more than 100 titles being added very month.
Literary enthusiasts can look forward to some of the much sought-after titles on the app, and with promise of thousands and thousands of international titles coming very soon. Storytel India provides a platform to established as well as young writers to create original series in Indian languages that take listeners into a new and exciting world of stories.
