Mumbai : With the aim to get families to come together to run stronger for longer, Duracell, consumer battery company and manufacturer of high performance alkaline batteries worldwide, is all set to launch the second edition of its enduring family run, the Duracell Durathon 2018. After last year’s successful Mumbai debut run swiftly followed by the Delhi Durathon, Duracell’s family run is now back again in Mumbai for the second-time encouraging families to run together stronger for longer. A 2km and 5km family run will be held on Sunday, November 25, 2018 at Jio Gardens, BKC, Mumbai.
With the Durathon, Duracell further enables families to come and run together outside their homes. The event will also see the celebrity mom and fitness enthusiast, Mandira Bedi, who too will run at the Durathon along with her son, Vir on 25th November 2018, encouraging and inspiring families to understand the value of forging long lasting relationships through the shared goal of running the Durathon. The 2 KM run will be flagged off at 7:00 AM and 5 KM run at 7:30 AM.
David Abraham, Duracell Marketing Director for Middle East and India said, “As a brand, Duracell represents long-lasting power. This equity we would like to extend via the ‘Duracell Durathon’, where families run stronger for longer. After the success of the first two editions, one held last year in Mumbai and one in Delhi earlier this year, we are confident that more families will participate to showcase their joint power and spirit of togetherness. We are also thankful to Mandira Bedi for participating again to run the Durathon with her son. Just like the promise of longevity that Duracell represents, the Durathon also provides a great opportunity for families to unlock their inner-power and bond even more closely while running.”
Mandira Bedi, actress, anchor, designer and mother of a six-year-old son says, “It’s a pleasure to once again associate with the Duracell Durathon. It’s a great initiative being the only family run in India. I totally relate with the concept as I’m a fitness enthusiast. It’s a special platform for families to bond over fitness thereby improving their health and increasing the quality time spent with family. My son, Vir, had participated last year and we are looking forward to the preparation and running this edition of Durathon.”
Along with the prize distribution at the end of the run, there will be plenty of on-ground activities and freebies for the runners to add to the fun component of this run. The loveable Duracell Bunny will also be cheering families on as they race to the finish line.
The Duracell Durathon 2018 will take place at Jio gardens, BKC, Mumbai on 25th November 2018
