Coined by Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, he was instrumental in bringing about a wave of enthusiasm in many and inspired martyrs to fight. Paying a homage to his extraordinary struggle for freedom, Sony MAX2, Hindi movie channel will telecast Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose: The Forgotten Hero on 15th August at 10:40 am as India embraces its 71st Independence Day.
Directed by one of the pioneers of Indian cinema, Shyam Benegal, this movie captures the life and contribution of the pillar of independence, Netaji Bose, who also gave India the slogan of Jai Hind. It narrates the last five years of Netaji Subhas Chandra’s life in Nazi Germany and events leading to the formation of Azad Hind Fauj or the Indian National Army. The film also captures the political disagreement between Mahatma Gandhi and Netaji’s escape to Germany under the British surveillance from his house in Kolkata.
