Mumbai: MSL, Publicis Groupe’s strategic communications and engagement firm, today announced the appointment of Rachna Sharma to two newly created roles Director Citizenship and Chief Mentoring Officer. Her appointment signifies the firm’s ambition to strengthen its Citizenship practice and its continued focus on developing talent to better serve clients and continue to be a great place to grow for colleagues.
Reporting to Amit Misra, CEO of MSL India, Rachna as Director Citizenship, will head the Citizenship practice in India, which includes leading and developing mandates in the sector of social purpose, sustainability and community development. In addition, as Chief Mentoring Officer, she is tasked with contributing to career planning and growth initiatives.
Rachna, a Post Graduate from Institute of Rural Management, Anand (IRMA) comes with over 20 years of rich experience in integrated marketing communications, having held corporate and agency roles in markets of India and Indonesia. In a career span of two-decades, she has built expertise across industries such as technology, consumer, social development and in practices such as, digital communications, marketing communications, crisis and issues management, corporate communications and business operations.
In her most recent role, she was Director, Communications & Research at Abt Associates, a Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation funded project. She has also spent over 12 years working with global PR firm Edelman in Indonesia where she held several senior positions and subsequently with Cohn and Wolfe in Indonesia as Country Managing Director.
