Chennai: In a move that is set to delight cricketing fans across India, leading IT security solutions provider Quick Heal and ace Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh have announced the launch of Quick Heal Bhajji Blast with CSK, a first-of-its-kind weekly talk show featuring top cricketers from India and aboard. Presented by Quick Heal Technologies Ltd and developed by LeoStride Entertainment Pvt Ltd, with Chennai Super Kings roped in as a promotion partner, Quick Heal Bhajji Blast with CSK was officially launched at a grand event organised at JW Marriot in Pune on May 7, 2018. The occasion also saw Harbhajan field questions from journalists and media personalities about this latest undertaking with typical wit and confidence.
What sets Quick Heal Bhajji Blast with CSK apart is its innovative format, which is aimed at recreating the fun, informal ambience of a match-day dressing room over 20-25 minutes. The talk show will have the one and only Harbhajan, affectionately called ‘Bhajji Pa’ by teammates, in a candid conversation with his Chennai Super Kings colleagues, as they talk about everything from cricket and opinions to personal life and anecdotes. With segments like Rapid Fire, Rap Battle, Opinions, and Who Said What, expect behind-the-scenes secrets to be spilled and sharp wisecracks exchanged, as the audiences will be kept entertained and in splits by the hilarious interactions between their favourite cricketers.
Speaking on the announcement, Harbhajan Singh said, “Whenever interviewed, most cricketing stars appear very graceful and poised, but anyone who’s been anywhere near a dressing room knows how far from reality that actually is. Sportspersons are amongst the most mischievous and irreverent people that you can possibly come across. Pranks and wisecracks are a part and parcel of their interactions with each other. This unseen facet is what I want to bring to Indian audiences through Quick Heal Bhajji Blast with CSK. I am sure that this behind-the-scenes glimpse into the dressing room will delight and entertain sports fans in India and abroad, and will also help them see their cricketing idols in an entirely different light.”
The ten-episode weekly show will be first aired on Qu Play, a digital entertainment platform for young Indian viewers, on YouTube. Swashbuckling all-rounder Suresh Raina will be the first guest on the show’s debut episode, which will go live on May 8, 2018. Other leading cricketers such as Dwayne Bravo, Ravindra Jadeja, Michael Hussy, Shane Watson, and Imran Tahir will also feature in subsequent episodes. The show has already garnered impressive support from veteran Indian cricketers such as Sachin Tendulkar, Yuvraj Singh, Virat Kohli, and Shikhar Dhawan.
Sanjay Katkar, Co-Founder and Chief Technical Officer, Quick Heal Technologies, added, “Harbhajan is one of the biggest cricketing stars in the country, and is known just as much for his wit and humour off-field as he is for his on-field achievements. Partnering with him and Chennai Super Kings for this show was, therefore, a natural choice for us. This association helps us to connect with our target audiences in a fun, engaging manner, while also establishing Quick Heal’s credentials as a strong, robust, and confident leader within its domain. We are confident of the show’s success, and will be looking to launch more such content initiatives to keep Indian viewers engaged and entertained.”
Qu Play is a new-age digital entertainment platform which aims to create engaging and relevant web-based content for young Indians. Having launched Quick Heal Bhajji Blast with CSK, Quick Heal will further look at tapping multiple genres to foster a deeper connection with its target audience.
