Chennai: The Largest Media Outsourcing Company, Fourth Dimension Media Solutions, has ambitiously announced the inaugural season of South India Media Summit (SIMS) that is scheduled on 27thApril 2018 at Chennai.
The CEO of Fourth Dimension Media Solutions, B Shankar, is a proud man who is sphere heading the initiative that he has been dreaming for a quite a longer period of his career. In the middle of his exhaustive preparations for the Summit, Shankar had shared his thoughts on SIMS, briefing us various aspects and circumstances under which the Marquee event was conceived and his elaborate plans for the same in an exclusive chat.

On SIMS:
Speaking his heart on why he wanted to launch ‘South India Media Summit’ – Shankar said, “It has always been my dream to host a summit concerning South India to start from Chennai and then take this to various places in South India. I was appalled and thrown out of surprise when the so called National Summits or industry promoted ones didn’t have any representations from South, this prompted us to dig deeper and look at something like this, we have been working on this for close to 6 months now”.
Why SIMS in Chennai:
On choosing Chennai as the Venue for SIMS he said, “Chennai has always been the Fulcrum of Media, Advertising, Retail & Cinema for decades. We have been rightly called the ‘Mecca of Retail India’ not now for ages since I remember. But do brands, Clients and agencies get that benefit actually NO. This was again a reason to showcase Chennai / TN to the outside world that “we mean serious business”
Future Plans for SIMS:
On his future plans for SIMS Shakar added, “Every year, we will now showcase the might of South India Media Summit across 5 states in South (there are very few people who call it 5 states they still say its 4 states ), we are planning to take this to towns like Coimbatore, Trichy, Madurai, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Mysore, Mangalore, Vizag, Vijayawada, Kochi, Trivandrum to name a few. It will most interesting sessions ‘with unheard names of spectacular business names and entrepreneurs’ who have not only contribute to South’s growth but also towards India’s growth, such people have never been recognised is so many years, is it their fault that they are from South ?”

What’s New in Future SIMS:
Shankar has his own plans to groom this new born and passionate property. Expressing his plans on how to build it further – Shankar said, “Going forward it will not only be pertaining to Media alone it will also have many topics revolving around Media & Entertainment, it will also have international speakers and focus more on innovation what the retail giants have done in so many years”
