Mumbai: The Chairman of Ogilvy & Mather Asia-Pacific, Paul Heath has resigned from the agency after 15 years. He also holds the titles of worldwide Executive Director and Chief Growth Officer, is to leave the agency at the end of April.
Ogilvy APAC confirmed Heath’s departure adding that Heath and his family are intending to move to Brazil, where he will launch his own streaming technology company.
A spokesman added: “Paul is a man of the Ogilvy world and we wish him nothing but success in his new endeavour.”
Born in Hong Kong to Brazilian parents, Heath first joined Ogilvy London in 1987 as a graduate trainee and left in 1990.
He returned in 2003 as president of Ogilvy APAC and was named CEO in 2009, a role he then held for the next seven years.
In 2016, Heath was promoted to global chief growth officer in New York and was replaced as APAC head by Kent Wertime and Chris Reitermann as co-CEOs.
He continued to lead the APAC region as chairman and also joined the board of the-then newly formed WPP AUNZ.
