KL: Vizeum Malaysia has promoted Chinar Joshi as the to new Managing Director of the company. Joshi joined Vizeum last year as General Manager – Strategy.
Joshi will replace Wong SiewWai who has left the agency after three years “to pursue other opportunities”, Vizeum said in a statement.
He has been instrumental in streamlining the agency’s operations and driving more integrated marketing solutions for Vizeum’s clients, as well as overseeing strategic deliverables across the network.
“It’s been quite a rewarding experience and I’m grateful for this opportunity to step up,” he shared.
Joshi has been in Malaysia for 7 years. Prior to Vizeum, he was at IPG MediabrandsMalaysia, first with Universal McCann in a Strategy & Planning role, and subsequently promoted to General Manager to lead IPG’s media agency BPN.
During his stint at IPG, Joshi was part of the team that had won three consecutive Agency of the Year titles at the Malaysian Media Awards, while managing high-billings portfolios such as Johnson & Johnson, CIMB, U-Mobile and Suntory &Cerebos.
Joshi’s industry experience also includes insights gained from his time in global creative shops such as Wieden+Kennedy and Ogilvy & Mather in home country, India.
He reports to Nicky Lim, CEO, Dentsu Aegis Network Malaysia.
