Mumbai: RED FM India’s most awarded radio station launched its new show ‘Lal Pari Mastani’ at Fio, Nehru place Delhi on Friday with a sundowner party and a LIVE performance by singer Sona Mohapatra. The show went live on Saturday and will be hosted by one of the most powerful personalities in the music industry, Sona Mohapatra herself. The launch celebrated RED FM’s humble initiative to support womanhood and the spirit of freedom and progressive thinking. For the first time ever Sona debuts as an RJ and will speak about a mix of interesting conversations, interviews, and moments on air. The show is deeply rooted to RED FM’s DNA of being socially responsible and experimenting with different content formats.
Sona Mohapatra explaining her love for the colour red, said, “I have a deep fascination for the colour red, as it symbolizes many aspects of womanhood and has deep roots in our culture. I want to break the mold of being pigeon-holed as only a ‘singer’. RED FM is a brand that I’ve always admired for its unique, innovative voice and the way they take a stand on issues. I have found its energy in sync with mine. It is also a fun and entertaining channel with a wonderful connection with its audience,I’m known to be outspoken on matters that I feel passionately about and with RED FM, I want to interact and co-create music, art, and film with my audience. I am very excited to be hosting the show and hope to engage with people and discuss issues that are close to my heart.”

The show’s first episode was aired on the 17th March 2018. This show will be aired on Saturdays 9 a.m. and will be repeated on Sundays 2 p.m. Guests on the show will have a heart to heart conversations with Sona Mohapatra about their experiences. The album ‘Lal Pari Mastani’ includes of 9 new songs that will launch exclusively with RED FM starting March.
