New Delhi: The TV ratings of Discovery Kids continue to soar for the second week in succession. The leading kids channel from Discovery Communications India has garnered 25,757 GTVTs in week 8 as per BARC data (age group 2-14, Urban India), a substantial increase of more than 47% over week 7 data of 17,479 GTVTs. Overall, the week 7-8 average is more than double the average of the first 6 weeks of 2018. Over the past 2 weeks, Discovery Kids’ reach has grown by 19%, from 8.7 million to 10.3 million, while the time spent has increased by 123% from 28 minutes to 63 minutes.
Speaking on the occasion, Uttam Pal Singh, Head – Discovery Kids, Discovery Communications India, said, “We followed a unique strategy by revamping Discovery Kidsand launched full day programming on BandbudhAurBudbak. The strategy has generated almost instant results and disrupted the kids’ genre. We are now well poised for accelerated growth with the upcoming launch of our brand-new IP ‘Little Singham’ in April.”
