MullenLowe Malaysia has been appointed as agency-of-record for creative and digital communications for Malaysia Airports Niaga (MAN) after pitching against around 10 agencies.
The Kuala Lumpur-based agency will oversee creative work for the airport’s duty-free and travel retail brand.
Malaysia Airports Niaga previously did not work with an agency on a roster basis and and a number of Malaysian agencies competed to win the account. The agency has so far not revealed the length of the contract.
“MAN is exactly the kind of ambitious partner MullenLowe is excited to work with,” said Adrian Sng, Managing Director, MullenLowe Malaysia.“It gives the agency the opportunity to develop work that goes beyond traditional deliveries. In today’s marketing environment, it is important that the agency has a handle on work that permeates every marketing and communication touch point. We are delighted with the win and it’s a great way to start the year.”
The company operates more than 50 retail and F&B outlets throughout KL, Kuching, Kota Kinabalu, Penang, Langkawi and Labuan airports.
MAN’s parent company, Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad, has previously worked with GOVT KL – now known as The Clan – on a project basis. However, Niaga, the retail arm, has largely produced its creative and digital work in-house until now
