Dentsu Aegis Network has hired the head of GroupM’s digital trading capabilities in China, Sara Si, to lead performance agency iProspect in China.
Si joins as CEO after almost four years as president of GroupM’s Future Media Trading operation in China.
She will report to Phil Teeman, group MD of Dentsu Aegis Network China.
Teeman said: “China witnesses the fastest change and biggest leap in its digital media landscape which differentiates this market from others in its scale, volume and complexity.” Dentsu Aegis Network needs a “prominent leader like Sara” to boost its digital capabilities, he said.
On her appointment of CEO of iProspect China, Si said: “I’m very excited to join Dentsu Aegis Network China, the biggest and fastest-growing digital agency group here. It offers an unparalleled platform with significant digital infrastructure, strong business synergy and extensive client portfolio, I really look forward to taking on the challenge and leading iProspect China to realize the group’s goal in performance marketing.”
The news emerges a few weeks after Dentsu Aegis Network finalised its China management line-up following the Dentsu-Aegis merger of March 2013, and moved all of its China staff into one building in Shanghai.
