Even before the Game Of Thrones S7 E4 Online leakage issue could settle down, Anew buzz was created by the show late on Tuesday across social media platforms when it was reported that HBO Spain had accidentally aired a whole hour of the sixth episode of blockbuster TV series Game of Thrones. It was later confirmed that the episode was indeed aired as a regular TV broadcast. Viewers who couldn’t believe their luck, took screenshots and streamed the episode immediately, but no full episode leak is out as of yet.
The sixth episode also the penultimate episode of the season was called ‘Death to the Enemy’ and had Jon Snow and his men travel north in a pivotal part of the story. It was scheduled to air next Monday.
Viewers from Spain who saw the leaked episode also confirmed that the episode was available on the HBO streaming platform as well. While some say the episode was cut just before it ended, others say they were able to watch the entire episode. Even though the leak seems to be unintentional for now, HBO representatives have told media that they have no knowledge under what circumstance did the unaired episode get leaked.
Some 4chan users claimed to have the full episode and also offered to upload it in a matter of hours. Twitter users also were able to access the stream as did one Instagram fan who streamed the whole episode twice before having his account taken down.
The episode also being the penultimate episode of the season — one that is known to be the most dramatic one just before the finale — has already garnered so much interest that HBO is trying its best to repair the damages.
Earlier on Tuesday, it was reported that four people associated with Prime Focus Technology were arrested by Mumbai Police for the alleged leak of the Episode No. 4 (‘Spoils of War’) episode two weeks ago.
