Mumbai: The News has been doing rounds about Priyanka Chopra bagging the DadasahebPhalke Academy Award in the new category being introduced- Internationally Acclaimed Actress, which is true.
However Mr. Ashok Shekhar quoted claiming himself to be the Chairman of the Award Committee which is not true. It is Mr. Ganesh jain who is the current chairman of the DadasahebPhalke Award Committee.
“I am really appalled by what’s doing rounds in the news. It’s true Priyanka will be receiving an award in the new category of Internationally Acclaimed Actress, but Ashok Shekar claiming himself as chairman of the DadasahebPhalke Academy is not true in any manner, Ashok is just a conveyor of the event.”, says Ganesh Jain, Chairman of DadasahebPhalke Academy and Awarn Committee.
DadasahebPhalke Academy Awards will be held on 1st of June this year at Bhaidas Hall, Vile Parle, Mumbai.
