Mumbai: In a bid to clarify the issue related to restraining ArnabGoswami from using his trademark phrase “NATION WANTS TO KNOW….”, Times Network has came out with an explanation that It was Just a Standard Caution Notice, thus lowering the intensity of the issue which was the talk of the industry yesterday after Arnab went openly in many Public and Social Media platforms voicing his dissent against the Caution Notice (Presumably a Legal Notice according Mr ArnabGoswamni)
Responding Exclusively to tvnews4u.com, the spokesperson of Times Network, on serving a standard caution notice to MrArnabGoswami’s latest venture ARG Outliers stated that it was a Standard procedure followed in the regular industry practice in order to protect the business interest of any Media Network.
He also revealed that ARG Outlier also has filed for the trademark registration of similar phrases with the competent authorities where Times Network has also filed for and extensively being used.
Explaining the scenario, the Spokes Person of Times Network said, “ARG Outliers had filed for trademark for these and similar phrases which were already filed for and extensively used for years by TIMES NOW. We have responded with a standard caution notice. He is just trying to gain soundbytes from it”
Earlier, went openly to appeal to the Public crying foul against a Media Network (without revealing the name), which is trying to sabotage the launch of his upcoming channel Republic TV by trying through all possible ways. The outcry has created a wave in the News Media Industry and he even found an unusual bonhomie from his bitter rival BarkaDutt who tweeted in support of Arnaband took a dig on media owners stating, “Don’t often agree with Arnab but this is insane. So unfair how all Media Owners force-own copyright of shows created & nurtured by individuals”.
With the launch date of Republic TV approaching its last few weeks of count down the off screen war between Times Network and ARG Outlier is getting heated up with new dimensions everyday with both the side taking each and every protective measure to safeguard the interest.
