Chennai: The upcoming scientific action entertainer 2.0 aka Enthiran 2 by Director Shankar has created wave in the trade circles with the buzzing news that the movie’s satellite rights were sold to Zee Group for a whooping Rs 110 Crores. The Super Star Rajini and Akshaykumar starrer, is gearing up for this year’s Diwali release with its trailers and audio launch expected on 14th April 2017.
According to the updates Lyca Productions, the company that produces the Magnum Opus 2.0 project with a huge budget of Rs 450 crore, the satellites rights of the movie was bagged by Zee Group. The sources the trade reveal that Zee Group has acquired the Satellite rights of 2.0 for Rs 110 crores against rights for all the Indian languages comprising Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and other regional languages.
Confirming the development Raju Mahalingam, the COO and Creative Head of Lyca Production confirmed this news through his official Twitter handle that read: “It’s TRUE” Lyca Productions’s gets a partner in Zee for our Mega Opus 2.0 Satellite!!!”
According to the industry sources 2.0 has already set a new record with this deal as the same has crossed the satellite rights rate of Amir Khan’s Dangal that got sold for Rs 75 crore.
As of now the talky portions of the movie has been completed and shoot for one song is yet to be completed. Lyca Production is planning to expand the reach of the movie to international markets that were never explored so far
