Organised in association with The Cancer Patients Aid Association, the show aimed at raising funds for cancer patients
Mumbai: Legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan took the ramp by storm along with heartthrob Varun Dhawan and Beautiful Alia Bhatt who were the showstoppers for Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla at the 12th annual edition of ‘Fevicol Caring with Style’ fashion show in association with the Cancer Patients Aid Association (CPAA) at the NSCI Club in Mumbai.
Amitabh Bachchan; spontaneously donated 11 lakh to CPAA and bollywood’s heartthrobs- Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan grooved much to the delight of the audience on their upcoming movie number Tamma Tamma, as part of a special segment at the event.
Mr. Amitabh Bachchan urging the people to contribute towards the cause, said, “Charities, exists from donations. We all gather here to urge you with folded hands to make generous contributions as you can. It is a very sad site to see young children suffering from cancer and your contributions can give opportunity to these students to live a full and healthy life.”
As part of Fevicol’s flagship campaign #JudengeLadengeJeetenge, a rallying cry for cancer patients urging people to join together and fight the disease, the fashion show was a joint initiative organised with the CPAA. Fevicol has been associated with the CPAA and provided assistance and support to the organisation for over twelve years.
Funds raised from the show will be donated to the Cancer Patients Aid Association (CPAA) towards treatment of children suffering from blood cancer. Leading fashion designers Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla marked their debut at ‘Fevicol Caring with Style’ this year, showcasing exquisite collections, while ace fashion designer Shaina NC presented her latest designs.
Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla’s friends, Sussanne Khan and Sonali Bendre were also seen supporting the cause by walking the ramp to raise awareness.
Himesh Reshammiya and Lulia Vantur stunned the crowd with their scintillating performances as Lulia sang the “Mei Hoon Hero Tera” track and Himesh brought back his hit songs back to life.
Diana Fram Edulji, former cricketer and also a cancer survivor and Julio Francis Ribeiro, a retired Indian police officer, walked the ramp as the Show Stoppers for Shaina NC.
The show was supported by ASK group, Club Mahindra, Forever Mark, and State Bank Of India.
