Trivandrum: Leading Malayalam entertainment channel Asianet is set to replace its fiction show Chinthavivashthaya Seetha that is being aired at 7:00 PM with new fiction show Vanambadi from 30th January 2017 onwards.
Vanambadi comes with popular Malayalam film actress Chippy playing the role of a protagonist; she is making come back in to small screen after a long gap. It also roped in Telugu film and TV actor Sai Kiran to play opposite to Chippy.
The story of Vaanampadi revolves around a girl who had devoted her life fully for music and her relationship with another man who is equally talented in music.
Asianet has decided to replace Chinthavishttayaya Seetha within short span of launch that happened in August 2016 and it seems the channel is not happy with the performance of the show.
The Musical series Vanambadi is being produced by Renjith under the banner Rejaputhra Visual Media and it is being directed by Aadithyan, who was the man behind the serial Akashadoothu that delivered good ratings in Surya TV couple of years before.
Asianet also telecast Seethayanam, Pranayam, Chinthavishttayaya Seetha, Karutha Muthu, Parasparam, Chandanamazha and Bhaarya in its 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM time band, while its airs Malayalam version of KBC titled NAK season 4 at 9:30 PM and Best of Comedy Stars 2 at 10:30 PM.
