Mumbai: The 10th edition of the Indian Magazine Congress (IMC) held on November 9th, 2016 at ITC Grand Central, Mumbai witnessed the entire magazine publishing fraternity under one roof and provided the ideal platform for exchange of ideas and business networking. It acted as the perfect forum for connecting with the entire magazine industry.
The theme for the 10th Indian Magazine Congress is ‘Incredible Magazines’.
The highlight of the evening was the inaugural edition of ‘Magzimise Awards’, Rewarding Excellence in Advertising in Magazines.. These awards have been instituted by AIM to create a platform for effectively using magazines as an advertising medium.
Followed by 10th Indian Magazine Congress, the AGM held in Mumbai today (10th Nov) elected Rajmohan – Chief Marketing Officer (North) & Head – Special Projects, Malayala Manorama Group as the new president of AIM. He takes over from Mitrajit Bhattacharya, President & Publisher, Chitralekha Group. Rajmohan will head AIM for two years.
The AGM also elected B Srinivasan, Managing Director, Vikatan Group as the new Vice-President of AIM and Indranil Roy, Executive Director & Publisher, Outlook Group as General Secretary. The Chairman and Managing Director of CyberMedia Mr Pradeep Gupta has been re-elected as Treasurer.
The Association of Indian Magazines (AIM), is the only national magazine association in India and is affiliated to the global industry association, FIPP. AIM members include all the top magazine publishers of the country.
The annual Indian Magazine Congress was organised by AIM is the premier event for Magazine publishing in India. With a modest beginning in 2005, the Indian Magazine Congress (IMC) has been growing in quality, stature and attendance since then.
The congress is divided into highly interactive and engaging sessions and has an impressive panel of International and National Speakers to offer value to its delegates.
