Bangalore: Fifteen celebrities, 55 cameras, 100 days and one house – Bigg Boss Kannada is back with its 4th enthralling edition on Colors Kannada that will premiere on 9th October 2016. Leaving no stone unturned to up the ante this season, the makers promise unparalleled entertainment for the next 100 days, wherein viewers will be glued to their TV screens at 9:00 pm daily to watch this internationally acclaimed reality show.
Karnataka’s much-loved super star KicchaSudeep will come back to host season 4 as well. His name has become synonymous to the show and its format. The acclaimed actor will return to grace the show with his wit and charm.
Elaborating on the same, KicchaSudeep says: “It’s a great challenge hosting the show. The physical energy required is huge. At the same time, the mental energy needed is even bigger. When the contestants are put inside the house for 100 days, they go through all kinds of mood swings. The host has to constantly keep monitoring them and when they feel a little down, you have to pep them up. And when they seem to go out of control, you need to rein them in. Because, you are the only contact for them with the outside world as long as they remain inside the house.”
Speaking on the launch of the latest season, Viacom18’s person-in-charge of three regional markets, Ravish Kumar, Business Head – Kannada, Bangla and Oriya, Viacom18, said: “Bigg Boss Kannada is the biggest reality show in the regional market. It’s mounted on a vast canvas – be it the scale of production or the content. We are delighted to offer viewers a fresh season of their most loved reality show with twists and turns that will make for compelling and wholesome family entertainment.”
Kannada viewers have already witnessed how the channel successfully shifted the Bigg Boss house out of Lonavla near Pune to Bangalore last season and conducted the show here. This year, to make it even better, it has built a brand new house.
Parameshwar Gundkal, Business Head, Colors Kannada and Colors Super as well as director of the show says: “As we have already made it clear, this is an interesting study of human behavior. People who have come from different socio-economic and cultural backgrounds react differently to a particular situation. Bigg Boss show makes it happen for us to see how 15 different people react to different situations over the next 100 days. Our job is to create a platform to enable this. I assure you that even this year, the show will be an emotional one like last year’s. Another important fact is that, this year there were a lot of lists of names of probable contestants doing the rounds in most of the news channels and newspapers. This shows the level of curiosity for the show and makes us confident as well as nervous simultaneously.”
Deepak Dhar, Managing Director & CEO, Endemol Shine India said, “We have a huge team working tirelessly to bring alive the excitement in ‘Bigg Boss Kannada house, we hope that it is one of our most promising seasons thus far. Our all-new house set in Bengaluru is the perfect setting to bring in some local flavour and up the entertainment quotient. As always the unpredictability and the twists & turns of the show will help churn out a mixed bag of reactions from contestants and ensure that this year too Bigg Boss Kannada lives up to its promise of providing unlimited and un-paralleled entertainment.”
The show kicks off with a grand opening event on October 9 at 6 pm and will air daily thereon at 9 pm only on Colors Kannada.
