JWT Malaysia has appointed Saurabh Saksena as its new managing director with immediate effect. Prior to this role, Saksena was JWT India’s senior vice president and chief growth officer based in Gurgaon. He took on the role in January 2014. He has been with the agency since 2009, first joining as its executive business director.
As a former account director of India’s Ogilvy and Mather, Saksena has worked in four communications agencies and a media company since 1993. He has extensive knowledge and skills specific in strategic brand thinking and management, development sector communication, media, sales, marketing and general management.
“I am very excited to play my part in making JWT Malaysia an even bigger force in delivering creative, digital and activation solutions to our clients and potential partners,” sai Saksena.
“Saksena is a very warm, insightful leader, and a real catalyst when it comes to establishing and evolving successful partnerships. He brings a lot to the table, and I know our staff and clients in Malaysia are going to really enjoy working with him,” Bob Hekkelman, CEO of Southeast Asia at JWT added.
He replaces Nicole Tan who left to join Facebook earlier this year to assume a new role as the head of its new office in Malaysia. JWT appointed Tan in 2013 to lead its Malaysia operations, and she was previously engaged with JWT in China for account leadership roles.
