Mumbai: As the UK voted to leave the European Union, the BBC’s international services are bringing people around the globe a raft of special programming to help make sense of the result.
BBC World News presenters Ros Atkins and Philippa Thomas are broadcasting live all day from Westminster in London with David Eades and Karin Giannone presenting from Brussels. They are looking at what the decision will mean for the future of the European Union and for Britain’s place in the world. While our network of correspondents around the globe will be exploring the implications of the decision outside of the UK, with reports from among others Poland, Greece, Italy, Spain, France , Germany, Denmark and Russia. And for viewers in the US, Katty Kay will be presenting a special edition of her World News America show (2100 GMT Friday).
As the UK’s vote to leave the European Union impacts through financial markets worldwide, the BBC’s business teams are also reporting live on every twist and turn, analysing the falling pound and volatile equity markets, and explaining what that means.
