Chennai : Nokia has appointed Sandeep Girotra as head of Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ) market in 2016. In his new role, Girotra will lead customer operations, drive the business growth strategy and superior customer engagement services across multiple channels for the APJ market.
Girotra, who has been heading the Indian market since 2011, will be based in Singapore. Over a tenure spanning 20 years in Nokia, Girotra has held several senior management positions in strategy, business development and sales.
In his recent role as head of India Market, Girotra is credited with efficiently driving growth and developing deep relationships with customers in this region. Girotra takes over from Paul Tyler, who after a long and successful career with Nokia, has decided to pursue his next steps outside of the company.
