Mumbai: Radio City gets listeners dancing to their beats on World Music Day with great programming across markets with Special music shows on-air and ground across Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad, Bangalore and a unique rendition of Musical Yoga in Coimbatore.
World Music Day has become a worldwide phenomenon as countries across the world rejoice the day in their own inimitable style. And with music being an iconic part of India’s diverse culture, the content across the nation is localised in order to suit listeners’ unique tastes in each of the cities.
World Music Day will see Radio City play:
- Covers across the day on shows Kasaka Kai Mumbai and Taka Tak Mumbai, Mumbai Masala at 11:00 PM with a flashback of all songs played throughout the day on Mumbai Masala and Hum Tum – City Ka Chuka
- Hyderabad’s grooving music with unplugged rendition of songs by famous directors Koti, Mani Sharma, RP Patnaik, MM Srilekha, Sunil Kashyap and Anup Rubens among others
- Bangalore’s Radio City Music Darbar featuring Anoop Seelin & Samanivtha Sharma, Santosh Venky & Anuradha Bhat, Sreedhar & JogiSunitha, Ajneesh & Shashank, Chethan & Chaitra, Mankinth Kadri & Supriya Lohit with the keyboard and rhythm Harshavardha and Abhi respectively
- Chennai’s unplugged renditions from top singers in the industry Shakthi Sree Gopalan, Leon James, Arun Raja Kamaraj, NSK Ramya and Vel Murugan between 20th June and 24th June. They would also feature special evening show where the singers try to teach RJ Bharath to sing.
