Chennai: Leading Tamil Infotainment Puthiya Thalaimurai, known for its innovative content planning in Infotainment space has lined up slew of Election oriented special programs coinciding with the upcoming elections in Tamil Nadu on 16th May.
The Channel has been broadcasting programmes on elections 2016 each day, weekly. The programmes include debates between candidates in a constituency, round table conference of all party representative, constituency profiles that displays the peoples expectation from the future governments.
Round Table Conference:
For the first time, PT brought together political leaders of different cues. Such conferences have made all party leaders to put forth their thoughts on an issue and others countering it. This programme has been discussed various issues starting from primary education to all other issues in various departments.
With the leader:
Political leaders in the state have been considered a super human being and their personal life was always a mystery. The programme follows the leader right from his morning chores like exercise, interaction with family members, his likes and other interesting details about the leader.

In the 2016 election, parties have devised their manifestoes keeping youth in mind. At this juncture it is important to bring the thoughts of youth in public. This programme visits students on their college campus and discuss issues related to the upcoming elections and their expectations.
Voice of the common man:
Common man is a often used phrase in the political arena. But in the future, the issues faced by the common man is neither discussed nor is it known to others. For example, the problems faced by a worker in salt pan in Tuticorin district is not known to similar others in different places. This programme aims at living with the common man and partaking the good and bad on a day.
Agni Partichai
This programme features leaders and personalities who are in the limelight for their utterances or deeds. It asks the leader all questions framed in the mind of people and get direct answers from the leader.
Parties Questions:
It is common for the media to raise peoples’ questions but PT has made the concerned leader to sit in front of 50 to 70 citizens and answer their questions. People can question the leader over phone too.
PT with people:
Agriculrure, weaving and small industries have become part and parcel of everyone’s daily life. But the problems faced by these people were not discussed in public and with this in mind, PT with people programme has been broadcast.
Two days are very important during election. One is the polling day and another is the counting. PT has planned to sent reporters to all 234 constituencies and get spot reports and transmit them live from a grand stage on the newsroom on both the days.
