‘Natyam’ revolves around the central character named Kalyani. Kalyani is a married woman who gets occupied by the responsibilities that a marriage brings into her life and gives up her passion to dance post marriage.
It’s a story that depicts the internal conflict between external comforts and thirst for her passion. She communicates these conflicts with her father through letters. Accidentally one day she encounters a remembrance from the past that encourages her to pursue her passion again.
All the actors have done a commendable job in the film, which has many absorbing moments loaded with well scripted dialogues and intense moments between the actors. Sandhya Raju is convincing as the beautiful, passionate Kuchipudi artist Kalyani.
