Mumbai : Star India’s secondary Hindi GEC ‘Life OK’ is adding another mythological thriller to its bouquet replacing its most popular Devo Ki Dvc… Mahadev aka Mahadev, as part of its ongoing overhaul to climb up the rating ladder.
‘Mahadev’, among the first shows released by the channel almost 3 years ago, experienced a successful run, eventually the ratings started visiting a dip of late, despite the fact that it was the most popular show in Life OK ever since the launch of the channel.
Mahadev is likely to go off-air on 12th December and it will be replaced by another big-scale mythological thriller titled ‘Mahakumbh’ from 15th December @ 8 PM every Monday to Friday, although the show was slated to visit much earlier, the project has suffered some early hurdles like Sanjay leela bansali dumping the project half way and channel was forced to find an alternative.
The new show Mahakumbh is the story about a kid, who is blessed with some amazing super natural powers. According to the makers of this show, they are coming with a unique concept with this serial. It will be a fantasy fiction show. Mahakumbh is a unique concept for Indian audience. It is a thriller based story in the backdrop of Uttar Pradesh. It will unfold the story of a boy who possesses amazing supernatural powers but is unaware of the gift as a child. As he grows older, his powers start showing.
With the tagline ‘Ek Rahasya, Ek Kahani’, ‘Mahakumbh’ will be a periodic property as well as the first period will have 120 episodes. The idea is to get it set in various places in which the holy ‘kumbh’ happens. Therefore, the first period will be placed in Allahabad.
After the first period, the channel and producer are likely to develop the another story titled ‘Pathak’. ‘Mahakumb’ is produced and directed by Arvind Babbal.
The use of computer images is much lesser than in ‘Mahadev’, as the display is set in real life. ‘Mahakumbh’ continues to be shot in a variety of locations in India and abroad such as Poland as well as other parts of European countries, however.
Actor Gautam Rode, who was last seen in ‘Saraswatichandra’, will play the lead component in the forthcoming series. Inside the first poster, Rode is observed standing up using the number of Naga Sadhus. The show will unfold an unheard tale of a story with capabilities unmatchable. The main environment is a blend of contemporary and period dilemma.
