Media agency Havas Media has appointed Jacqui Lim as managing director of its Singapore and Malaysian offices.
Lim arrives from ZenithOptimedia Singapore, and will report to Havas Media Singapore and Malaysia CEO Melvin Lim.
Havas Media declined to comment on whether Jacqui Lim’s appointment comes ahead of the exit of Melvin Lim. Rumours have circulated about his departure in recent months.
He said in a press release: “We are delighted to have secured the services of, arguably, our media industry’s “Darling”, recognised as one of the most promising women to watch in APAC marketing today.”
“Jacqui is highly regarded and respected in the media agency circles because of her proven track record of achievements for clients and ability to motivate and lead large agency teams,” he said.
At Zenith, she was managing director, a role she moved into in November of last year. She oversaw clients that included Asia Pacific Breweries, Warner Brothers & 20th Century Fox, Delta Airlines, Reckitt Benckiser, Aspial Lee Hwa Group and Wildlife Reserves Singapore.
