Bengaluru : Imagine a situation where a 55 year old father wants to have a competition with his 25 year old son. Who do you think would win? Both have equal chances as the former’s strength is experience, knowledge and latter’s is energy and aggression.
‘Life Super Guru’ our mega new reality show is based on these lines. It is positioned differently based on its uniqueness and its appeal. Uniqueness here is meant as the clashes between charisma, mindset, ego and attitude of different ages.
“Life Super Guru is a means to portray the goodness of Life whether young or old and bring it to the fore, depicting how to add “LIFE” to their existence through experience by the old generation and through technology and lifestyle by the young. It converges the extreme generations together in their happiness and sorrow” says Zee Kannada Business Head Siju Prabhakaran
This program charts out the liveliness of 10 old people (5 men & 5 women) and 10 passionate young minds (5 boys & 5 girls). These 20 people are auditioned and selected from all over Karnataka and the criteria for selection being their personality and character streak.
Now these 20 contestants will be put in a villa for the next three months where they will be asked to perform difficult, fun-filled and more than everything life changing tasks which will get their attitude towards life. In the later course the teams will be interchanged so that the young and old are put together to erase the generation gap between them. Also the cameras will be following the contestants for 24 hours of the day which puts them to a vulnerable situation.
‘Zee-Kannada’ is reaching all the Karnataka households with this new format of a reality show. This format is used for the first time in the history of Kannada television industry.
The key selling point of the show is the anchors themselves who are the household names in Karnataka. Famous film star Yogi (loose maada) will be representing the youth and well known director Guruprasad will be representing the old. These two together will be hosting this extravaganza.
To sum it up this program is intended to win the hearts of all youth and also to grab the pulse of the old people. The show is all set to launch from 17th November 2014, Monday to Friday (8pm-9pm) which would be a 13 week format.
