Mumbai : Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Telefilms is all set to launch the new show “Itna Karo Na Mujhe Pyar” on Sony Entertainment Television. The Company which has given a most successful and loveable fiction drama “Bade Acche Lagte Hain” that deals with the matured love and affection between the couples, is exploring the most critical area of human emotions by rediscovering love between separated couples after 15 years.
The relationship between a husband and wife can end, but that between a mother and father cannot. That’s the crux of producer Ekta Kapoor’s new show on Sony TV after Bade Achhe Laggte Hain.
“Itna Karo Na Mujhe Pyar” is also a story of a mature couple, but with a different flavour altogether when compared with “Bade Acche…., Dr Nachiket Khanna (Ronit Roy) and Ragini Patel (Pallavi Kulkarni Nerurkar), exploring the intricacies of human relationships. A misunderstanding breaks Nachiket and Ragini’s marriage, after which he moves to America with three of their kids and Ragini stays back in India with two kids. Over a period of time, Nachiket turns indifferent and rather insensitive, while Ragini is still trying to run away from the ghosts of her failed marriage.
But fate has different plans and their children become the pivotal reason for them to start life afresh. The story moves on to the five children, who help their separated parents rediscover love after 15 years. The show promises to be a heart-tugging emotional journey for the viewers. As Ekta describes it, “It is about ex-lovers who are parents and explores an odd chemistry between them. The oddity is the question that it raises: do relationships ever end, especially between parents or does time ease or surge memories like waves?”
