Bengaluru: The Grand finale of second season of Kannda version of the reality show Bigg Boss (Bigg Boss – 2) was aired on Kannada GEC “Survarna” on Sunday 5th October between 6PM to 10:20PM has clocked a highest ratings of the season for the show with 10.04 TVR (Fe15+ABC) and 8.45 TVR (MF4+)
The second season of the show, which was also hosted by the Kannada film Actor Sudeep had four contestants fighting for the title in the Grand Finale episode namely Akul Balaji, Deepika Kamaiah, Shrujana Lokesh, Swetha Changappa. However, Akul Balaji and Shrujana lokesh only managed to witness the last round out of which Akul Balaji emerged victorious to snatch the Bigg Boss title.
After finishing the Show Bigg Boss Kannada Season 2, Suvarna TV is Airing third season of the popular reality Show “Pyate Hudgir Halli Life” Starting from Monday, 6th October 2014 between 8PM to 9PM during the weekdays Monday to Friday.
This is a unique format show where girls from city have to live in a village for over 3 months. The contestants have to leave their luxurious city lives and live in a village which is struggling for basic necessities. Every day the contestants would perform various tasks. There would be eliminations every week. The one who survives till the end emerge as the winner to snatch the grand mega prize.
The first 2 seasons of the reality show “Pyate Hudgir Halli Life” were a huge success. The kannada Viewers were very fond of this show as it narrates reality at its fullest and the Channel Suvarna TV is pinning all its hope on this show to reclaim its losing ground in Karnataka Market.
The first week ratings of the show has witnessed a moderate opening with an average TVR of 5.5 in Fe15+ABC and 4.63 in MF4+ target group. Market sources state that the opening week ratings are termed as moderate, when compared with the popularity of the shows format enjoyed in the previous seasons.
It may also be noted that the season 2 of Bigg Boss also failed to deliver the desired level of ratings considering the reach and popularity of Suvarna TV, when compared with ETV Kannada, which aired the first season of Bigg Boss Kannada, with same hosted by Actor Sudeep himself. However, Suvarna TV claimed itself the season 2 as success on its own.
The growing competition from Udaya TV and ETV Kannada on both fiction and nonfiction front is making “Suvarna TV” to run hard for its number.
Ratings of Week 41 shows that the Fiction shows like Lakshmi Baaramma and Agnisakshi on ETV and Amurthavarshini on Suvarna TV, Alagulimane and Madarangi on Udaya TV are much ahead of the newly launched reality show “Pyate Hudgir Halli Life” and the show still has to sail a long way to reach the desired neumaro uno position in the market.
