Mumbai: Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) India has been stepping up its services from the time it started releasing television viewership data in April, 2015. Adding another feather to its cap, BARC India has launched its BARC India Mobile App, which is now available for download on both Android Play Store and IOS App Store.
The BARC India Mobile App, has been launched in two versions: BARC India BMW Subscriber and Non-Subscriber. Created by Grey Global Group, the app will provide easy access to Channel/Programme Viewership data by Genres, thus easing the way TV viewership data is consumed.
“Our intent was to make the whole process of consuming TV viewership data easy and on the go. With the launch of BARC India Mobile App, we have moved a step closer towards that. I am sure that this easy to navigate BARC India app will give both our subscribers and non-subscribers great user experience,” said BARC India CEO Partho Dasgupta.
Non BARC India subscribers can access Impressions’000 for current week and relevant TG and Markets of Top 5 Programmes and Top 10 Channels Across all Genres & Hindi GECs and Top 5 Channels of English GECs, Hindi Movies, English Movies, Regional markets, Music, Youth, News, Business News, Kids, Sports and Infotainment.
The Mobile App provides MY PAGE special features exclusively for BARC India subscribers alone, which gives Graphical representation of Half Hourly Programme Impressions’000 for GECs across All Languages for each of last 7 Days. In addition to that the Subscribers of BARC India will also be able to access the following :
Top 10 Channels across Genres: Gain/Loss over previous 4 weeks
Top 20 Channels by Genre, with Gain/Loss for previous 4 Weeks of:
- Impressions’000
- Relative Share% within Genre
- Coverage%
Top 5 Programmes by Genres: Impressions’000 (Last 4 Weeks)

BARC India had also successfully completed the formation of JV Company recently, in-order to merge the TAM Meters with that of BARC, which makes BARC data, the single currency for Indian Media and Advertising Industry.
