Mumbai: One of India’s most popular and versatile singer, Shaan made his debut as a radio host on 92.7 BIG FM’s new show BIG Radio Reel. With the launch of this show, BIG Radio Reel will entertain discerning listeners with interesting trivia from the life of Indian cinema stars while taking them through their personal life, achievements, amongst many such never-heard-before stories.
Adding to its bouquet of distinctive and entertaining programming line-ups, 92.7 BIG FM, India’s largest and the No.1 radio network launched BIG Radio Reel, the show that will be aired across 36 Hindi-speaking markets, between 7 am – 9 am on the day of the celebrities’ birthday.
At an event held in Mumbai today to announce Shaan as the host of the show, the talented singer paid tribute to late lyricist Nida Fazil, as he sang Mohammad Rafi’s ‘Khusboo Hoon Mein Phool Nahin’. As the show was launched on Ghazal maestro late Jagjit Singh’s birth anniversary, Shaan also paid tribute to the legend by singing one of his most popular ghazals ‘Apne Hothon pe Sajana Chahta hoon’. The event concluded on a musical note with Shaan singing ‘Chote Chote Tamashe’ a song from his upcoming movie Sanam Re upon the request of the audience.
Bestowed with titles like ‘Golden Voice of India’ and ‘Magician of Melody’, Shaan has lent his voice to many popular actors for films across languages and genres and has worked with some of the best music directors in India. With his debut as a radio host on 92.7 BIG FM, the multitalented singer will celebrate the Birthdays of the some of the many celebrities he has sung for.
The singer who grew up listeing to radio vividh bharti also looked visibily ecstatic to now be a radio show host himself with BIG Radio Reel at 92.7 BIG FM and said “This is the first time that I will be hosting a show on radio and I am very excited about it.
